Hello clashers. I haven't posted in a while so i thought i should make a post updating you guys on what was going on. This blog was part of a school project and i am currently done with it. The next step is podcasting though. This means that instead of seeing regular posts from me, you will actually get to hear my voice and some of my friends as well. We will obviously be talking about clash of clans. This doesn't mean that the blog will end and never be updated again, it will simply be updated less frequently. I will try my best to update each time an update comes out, but for the meantime get ready for some weekly podcasts!

Breaking News Level 8 Wizard Tower

As we have seen, the new update brings a lot of new content to clash of clans. We have the level 6 wizard, the new results screen, the 3 new challenges, and a league reward increase. Hidden under the clouds though, is a level 8 wizard tower. In the picture where they showed us the increase in league bonuses we can barely see a level 8 wizard tower. We also see a level 10 town hall which means it will probably only be available for town hall 10's. This is kind of a disappointment as i have a long way to go before i can reach town hall 10. Here I will show the picture with the wizard tower in the background.

New Witches!

Recently, on the latest update, the new dark troop came out. This troop is called the witch! This new troop is becoming the major attack strategies for all the top level players. This troop can do both long range and melee attack. She summons her skeleton minions who go on the front line and fight for her. When her skeletons are busy she does a range attack that can also do massive damage. The only downside is that an all witch raid is pretty expensive. If you change the in-game currency to $ then an attack with all witches is around $5 each. I am really pumped and can't wait till i unlock them.

Interview With Sebastian Meneses

Today I did a short interview with a clash of clans player. His name is Sebastian Meneses and he is currently in town hall 8. He has mixed feelings for the game and is very experienced. To find out what he said, read bellow.
1Q: How long have you been playing clash of clans for?
1A: Since March 2013
2Q: How many hours a day do you play?
2A: 2 hours a day.
3Q: What is your favorite unit in the game?
3A: Wizards lvl. 5
4Q: What do you think of the game?
4A: It is a pretty addicting game, but it is also a money hoarding game. It is the type of game that you play when you are bored.
5Q: Have you ever bought gems? If so, how many?
5A: I have bought gems. I have bought 5000 gems.
6Q: What was your best raid ever?
6A: It was an 800k raid.
7Q: What clan are you in?
7A: I was previously in a clan called feeder in which I was the leader. I left that clan due to troop issues as I didnt get the troops I needed. Then i moved over to a clan called GB United in which I am very happy in and I am a clan elder.
8Q: What has been your favorite clash of clans moment?
8A: My favorite clash moment was beating the achievement Gold Grab and Elixir Escapade.
9Q: What made you try out clash of clans?
9A: One of my friends back in March recommended me this game and i tried it and i liked it.
10Q: If you had the chance to update clash of clans, what would you change?
10A: I would cut the training time for all troops by half.

Top 10 Units in Clash of Clans

Ok, so many of you have been asking me for my top 10 units. Finally I have had the time to create such a list and share it with all you guys. So without further ado, lets get on with the units!
10. Goblin - Although they take most of the resources, they are very weak and when piled in a group can be easy targets for mortars and wizard towers.
9. Wizard - Although they are very powerful, they are the unit with most time per unit. What this means is that they take the longest and yield the least troops. They take 10 minutes to make and only yield 4 units. A full army of wizards takes a long time and can't be very effective.
8. Healer- They do heal your units, but are very vulnerable to archer towers and air defenses. They are very weak and are only really effective with giants. Their dependence on other units is the reason for it being 8 on my top 10 units list.
7. Pekka- These are honestly the stupidest units in the game. The only reason that they don't go on the 10 spot is because of their obvious strength and health. They are the last unit you unlock in game and are "supposed" to be the best although they are really bad. They will often run off to the side of bases and start destroying outside buildings instead of going inside like they should.
6. Wall Breaker- They are very useful at what they do. This is, obviously, breaking walls. Aside from this, they are not good at anything else. They die really easily and wont attack any other building besides walls unless there are no walls in the village which is highly unlikely.
5. Balloon- These can be powerful units, but are very slow. They only work good in groups and have a relatively low health. They take a long time to make and at low levels are extremely weak. The reason for it being on the fith spot is that I really like to use them and they go well with rage spells.
4. Barbarian- The reason for this unit being in my top 4 is that it is highly underrated. These guys can take hits and pack a punch! They might be the first unit you unlock in the game but at levels like 5 or 6 can be your main unit of attack. They are also very cheap and their training time is very low.
3. Giants- These units are well placed at the top 3. They can soak up hits and are highly value for their preferred targets which are defenses. Although they are very slow, they have a very high amount of health and work great with any type of unit.
2. Dragons- We are getting close to the best unit in the game in my opinion! The dragon. With its high amount of health and increased speed, it can demolish bases. An all out dragon attack will most likely 3 star a base. The times when it wont is the times when the player using them doesn't know how to use them. The reason for it not getting the top list in my unit list is because of its high cost and long training time.
1. Archers- I hope you guessed it by now! The archers. Highly underrated but very powerful. These units can demolish bases as well. They can 3 star bases and are stronger than most units in the game. They are by far my favorite unit and you will always find me using them.

Base Review

 Ok, this is my first time doing a base review so bare with me. This base is a really good town hall 8 base. I think that the only flaw would be your mine and pumps close to your town hall. They are going to attack your town hall so why give the enemy free loot? The triangular shape made with the mortars is really effective because they all shoot at the same time. Also I would never advise you to upgrade 3 things from the same side. You are very weak from the north. I would advise you to switch those buildings for some from the south. Another thing I would do is upgrade your air defense. If you could find a way to put them in the middle that would also be good. Thanks for sending in your base. I really like it.
